The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the superior variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's website no fully functional office devoted to service the sassa status area on a daily basis. The provider position developed for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
